How to Become a Stockbroker in Hawaii
 – Education
A degree in Business Administration or Finance is recommended in order to land a position at a firm. On the job training will also be provided for stockbroker trainee/junior stockbroker positions.
 – Licensing
Next, your efforts in becoming a stockbroker include attaining the Series 7 License and Series 63 or 66 Licenses. Sponsorship from a brokerage firm is required for the Series 7 License ($305 fee). However, the Series 63 or 66 can be taken without a sponsor ($125 and $155 fee respectively).
 – Registration
Becoming a stock broker in Hawaii requires that you to go through the system as stipulated by the law until you finally get approval from the Hawaii Department of Commerce. A filing fee of $50 is required. And interestingly, the filing fee is reduced 50% between Jan 1, 2016 till Dec 31, 2016 making it only $25.
