How to Become a Stockbroker in Georgia

(A) – Education

In order to operate as a securities sales agent in Georgia, pursuing the right degree will allow you to obtain a position at a reputable firm. Finance, Business Administration or Economics are suitable degree paths for potential stockbrokers.

(B) – Licensing

The Series 7 License is required to trade stocks, bonds and options on behalf of clients. A brokerage firm that’s a member of FINRA must sponsor you to take the exam. You can learn more here.

The Series 63 or 66 Exams are required as well, though, do not require a sponsor.

(C) – Registration
